As a passionate teacher, I have always found joy in shaping young minds and making a difference in my students' lives. However, this dedication has come at a cost, as my salary has never been particularly high. Now that my children are approaching college graduation, I find myself in a dilemma. I want them to pursue their passions and follow their dreams, just as I did. Yet, I can't help but worry about the financial stability that often comes with choosing a more lucrative career path.
The world has changed significantly, and the pressures of student debt and living expenses weigh heavily on my mind. While I cherish my career choice, I sometimes wonder if I should encourage my children to prioritize financial security over personal fulfillment. It’s a complex conversation, balancing the pursuit of happiness with the realities of economic demands. Ultimately, I hope they can find a path that brings them joy while also ensuring a stable future.
